Music and guitars

I've been listening to a couple spandau ballet songs over and over today:
Only when you leave Hear It! M P Three
Highly Strung Hear it! M P Three

I'm really itching to buy a guitar amplifier head to go with my Mesa/Boogie Cabinet. The mesa/boogie mark IV is the sound I have wanted for a very long time, the heads go for about 1000-1400$.

Another amp I am considering is the 5150 peavey. Anyone know anything about these 2 amps or have any experience with them? or even better knows someone who is selling a mesa/boogie??

This past saturday I had a big birthday party, it was a lot of fun. Here are the pictures. Link

I got a few birthday presents over the past week:

Vanilla scented oil for burning in my new little lamp burner thing, something I have definitely been wanting
A little elephant carving from india, it keeps me company on my desk at home
some borders and darden gift cards
a bottle of lambrusco wine
and last night I received a Mr. Beer kit

Lots of good presents and overall an excellent birthday

Birthday Steak, Aunt, Broken Cars

For my birthday Annette took me to a steak place I have really been wanting to go to. Del Friscos Link on Lee Road. The steak I had was quite good, I felt like they had put some special spices on it but it seems that they only put salt and various colored ground peppercorns, it was just the right texture. Very expensive place, they also had very awesome tasting mashed potatoes which were very salty and had green onions in them.

after that we went to edy's on horatio and 17-92 and the guy there had a very halloween voice, sounded like someone on crazy radio kinda deep and dramatic but whacky too, we were cracking up about his voice.

Then we went to rockys replay and I got to try a new version of one of my favorite games, Silent Scope, This version I think is called Ex, you are a sniper, I did pretty well it was fun.

Yesterday my brother, his wife, my aunt and myself went to eat a Boma in the Animal Kingdom lodge, it's supposed to be african food, a few dishes seemed authentic but most of it was just american food with a african name or some special spices etc. it was like 25$ a person but he was buying for my birthday so no big deal to me. I don't think it's worth the drive out there.

today I had a rude awakening, my mothers clutch went out and I had to go pick her up and then worry the rest of the day about what to do with her car, fix it? it's pretty fucked up anyways so probably not, new clutch is 500$. If anyone is selling a car let me know, she runs into curbs a lot so I need something with bigger or tougher tires, maybe a truck or jeep, also it should be an automatic, and the real kicker is I can't spend much money on it.

Roma's Revenge

Two of my best buddies at work took me out for lunch today I picked tony roma's and it was a very good choice I got the all you can eat ribs and they were super yum yum. Tony himself also gave me a free bottle of BBQ sauce and a coupon for a free onion loaf(he must want me to have a heart attack). I got baby back and st. louis ribs.

In a year not too much has changed in my life, still live in the same place, I am at a new office but I still interact with people from my old office and it's in the same general area. I did get a new vehicle which is pretty significant and a new guitar.

Another big change is that i met a nice girl and have been enjoying her company lately. I also have a lot of great friends who are fun and interesting and I enjoy drinking, biking, eating and laughing with. 32 don't be blue.

Friday, Saturday, Hangover day

Friday I played guitar at my friend johns house, we had a sing along it was a lot of fun.

Saturday I went to Greek Festival in Maitland, good food the booths and music weren't that interesting to me.

After that I went and bought an acoustic guitar, I have one already but i've been wanting one with a bound neck and cutaway which my current one doesn't have. It's an Ibanez. I'll probably sell my other one.

That night I went to a party for my friends wedding, very cool location, they have a beautiful beach on a lake out near disney. Then we went to this really cool bar, global warming( ) I got to try some beers I haven't tried yet, the bar had a big screen projector with surf movies playing and TVs with skate videos, the music was really cool international stuff and the bartender was very nice and was impressed with my beer knowledge, though I don't think I have much knowledge hhahah. I'd go there more often if it was near my house.

What's a cool song I should learn on acoustic?

Gan Mao Cha

my friends own an asian grocery down the street from work I stopped by there today at lunch time, they were out of town visiting taiwan but I told the lady that was there that I have a cold, she said to try this drink, Gan Mao Chao Chong Ji, it's kind of like a tea but you just pour this powder into your drink.

I've drank 2 coffee cups of it so far and my sinuses are all clear, that could be just the hot water doing that, but it also is making me sweat which makes me think I'm feverish which could be my body fighting the infection.

Sounds like a super cure tea to me, you get a bag of like 10+ packets for like $1.50

Kill flu with beer

I have avian flu virus, I must be the first unreported case in the US. My nose is all tingly and I'm stuffed up, I should have never ate that chinese chicken it must have been raw inside.

Sunday I got to taste a bunch of octoberfest beers at whole foods. Their beer is wayy to expensive there but there is another place that carries exotic beers closer to my house that is much cheaper. So I went there yesterday and bought, Russian Imperial Stout, Paulaner Octoberfest Marzen and a bottle of Tucher Octoberfest(I think)

Shrimp Costume

Had the yummy lovin' in my tummy Endless Shrimp at Red Lobster for lunch today. The coconut shrimp there are excellent they have some like sweet and spicy seasoning which is just awesome. It tastes kinda like black pepper but doesn't have a strong aftertaste maybe it's white pepper.

I thought of 3 costumes for halloween that I might want to try and make:

Mola Rom from Temple of Doom

Snake Plisken from Escape from New York

Herbert West Re-animator

Begrudging Shrimp

Last night watched the grudge 3/5. Very similar to the japanese version of ringu with the scary hair chicks, not that interesting but not fully boring, and ethan from lost was in it!

I made a yummy pasta with pesto and shrimp. What are some other easy dishes to make?

My new roomate moved in over the past few days, his name is zack and i've known him for many years now. It'll be cool to have a friend living with me.

This weekend going to the Epcot Food and Wine Festival in Disneyworld. Hope it's fun and not too expensive.
