Indian Glaze

Saw an excellent movie last night, The World's Fastest Indian Link to more info 5/5

won't be out until February but mark it down cause when it comes out you should really see it.

Family over tomorrow to eat maple honey glazed boar's head ham among other things.

I need a recipe for sweet potato casserole but what I'm looking for is something with a brown sugar and pecan or walnut crust either on the top or bottom, I like that crispy crust.

Pretty Postcards and Bitter Saints

Image hosted by
I got a mess of postcards on my recent trip, who would like to receive one?

This lady at work offered me like 100 bucks to dress up as Santa and come hang out with her kids for a while, they are like 5-12 years old and I think there are 3 or 4 of them, I declined but it is an interesting idea. I don't know how many of you faithful readers know this but I am 6'7", so the idea of playing too tall santa seems weird to me, also I don' t think I have the personality to be jolly over an extended period. Thoughts?

Pretty Weekend

Weekend was fun and pretty.

Drove out to Dunedin saturday which is about 10 min north of clearwater. Went to the brewery there, they have very tasty beer, probably because it's fresh and made there and they serve it at the right temperature.

Sunday went to clearwater beach for a bit, very pretty area and neighborhood. Went to a pirate festival, that was pretty weak. Went to davis island and watched the sailboats which was magnificent. Then to the columbia restaurant in Ybor city, I had the paella, it was very tasty but needed some picante sauce.

My friend luis was in town this weekend so we met up Sunday evening to hang out for a bit and we watched Carlito's way 2, I enjoyed it.

2 of my favorite singers are Lou Gramm from Foreigner and Joe Lynn Turner of Rainbow.

Most of you probably find this cheesy or something but sod off! I love those voices, I guess I wish I was a real good singer, hey I can do a few foreigner songs on karaoke and I think I sound pretty good.

A few friends and I are going to record a couple songs I wrote the lyrics for and I am going to sing them, the thing is these songs don't lend themselves to the type of singing I do when channeling Lou Gramm on the karaoke stage, they are more hushed and in parts they get really high I believe it's called falsetto. Anyways hope to have a song or two to post here in the next few months.

I'm pretty proud to have these 2 songs, we practiced them a few nights ago over and over and I think we have them down well.

There are a few songs with me singing here and I am on guitar on all of them:

Dirty Beans

Not too much going on at the moment

made some zatarains, dirty rice with chorizo last night, pretty tasty!

watched and discussed a movie online, Lock Stock and 2 Smoking Barrels on the site I mentioned in my last post,
P.S. 3.5/5 I had high hopes after watching the first part but they didn't follow through with it well

Into the West Fun movie about a couple of kids in ireland and their relationship with their father and how a horse changes everything, really cool.

going to dunedin this weekend which is near clearwater, hoping that will be fun.

thinking of buying a Line 6 Pod XT kidney bean guitar effects/preamp thingy, it has a really awesome heavy sound to it.

here is a pic from karaoke last friday:

The Streaming Ankle Bluz

100 Beer Club
There is a cool little bar down the street from my work, Underground Bluz (link) they have about 115 beers, so I joined the 100 beer club, I've tried 8 different kinds so far, I'll probably go there after work a few times a week and try 2 new beers. Last night it was Old Engine Oil and Hobgoblin both were pretty good, I find that nothing really lives up to anchor steam for me though.

This site that I have been getting involved in a lot lately for movie recommendations and discussion has started streaming movies by request 3 or 4 nights a week they will play something that is requested, anything is game as long as it can be rented from netflix, since it's for college research it's perfectly legal, I'd really like it if some of you came to a viewing or two online, there is a chatroom during the movie, it's really neat and a lot of fun. (link)

camping at the beach
The camping at the beach season has started at the canaveral national seashore. I'll probably go in december, but we have to call ahead one week and make a reservation, also have to carry in our own grill, anyone got a hibachi? anyone else interested?
(link to PDF with information)

My ankle has been hurting me since saturday night, for the past few months I have been wearing low top shoes, today I realized I should have stuck with my hi-tops, as soon as I put my old shoes on my ankle didn't hurt anymore when I walked, those few months of wearing low tops with no ankle support was fucking my ankle UP!!

Kingdom of Amplified Corn

Last night I watched about half of the movie Kingdom of Heaven, the interesting thing is how I watched it, online it was being streamed by a university research group who is testing peer to peer streaming software.

they will be having more movies by request, definitely check it out, it's not flawless yet but...???

This Saturday I'm going to go look at Mesa/Boogie amps at a store in daytona, I've been itching to buy one of those for years, I'm looking for the Mark IV combo amp and hopefully it can also run my 2x12 Mesa cabinet.

Sunday I am going to a corn maze in a town not too far away, it will be fun to get out of this town and get in the florida country, I feel more comfortable just driving out in the country in florida.

bright dreams

I've been going to sleep at like 9 pm a lot lately, I did it last friday and then again last night, it's not on purpose I just get real tired and go lay down to watch TV and then fall asleep and wake up at like 1 or 2 in the morning with some infomercial blasting and affecting my dreams.

I had a lot of dreams last night, one was really frustrating about something that fell apart like a chair or a stroller or an ironing board and it was really complicated and I spent like an hour or more trying to put it back together with this really not too bright person from my work but they were useless and just got in the way. It is Odd what those dreambooks say your dream means sometimes, though I didn't look this specific one up.

For the first time ever last month I went over my cellular daytime minutes, it doubled my bill. a bit shocking especially since I would check my minutes every few days. Cingular has this thing where you dial a number and it sends you back a text message with your minutes, last period I remember getting down to like 68 minutes. That service must not be accurate, so I guess I just won't use my phone at all during the day not even turn on the ringer and also change my voice mail message so it gives my work number which is usually where I am at during the day anyways.

Anyone have any good greasemonkey scripts for mozilla?

Anyone going to the orlando beer festival?
